■Oil barrier (SF Coat series)
High-viscosity lubricating oil such as lubricating oil and silicon oil are often used in some precision components and others.
By forming a coating film with fluorine polymer on components by the SF Coat series, it becomes possible to prevent lubricating oil from spreading and spilling from necessary areas to surrounding areas.
The SF Coat series is liquid by dissolving fluorine polymer including water-repellent and oil-repellent perfluoroalkyl group into fluorine solvent. Coating is easily done by dipping or coating with a brush, for example.
Moreover, this coating layer has extremely low critical surface tension and prevents lubricated oil and others from spreading and spilling.
This time, we developed an environmental-responsive products dealing with PFOA concern.

| ■Characteristics of SF Coat series (as coating liquid) |
(1) Drying at normal temperature is possible.
(2) Easy to handle.
(3) Nonhazardous products are available.
(4) Small influence over substrates and component materials.
(5) Environment-responsive products free from PFOA. |
